She said IMG has first rights to all of the girls after the show. It doesn't mean they've signed her yet or that they have to sign her...

Do you mean the girls have to hear from IMG before they sign to any other agencies? That's pretty cool to have IMG even consider them.


There's a certain time period after the show that IMG is the only agency allowed to sign them. After that period, if they don't hear from them then they're free to accept offers from whoever else or go to agencies on their own.
It's possible IMG contacted Jane and asked her to meet them in nyc for consideration.

Yeah, but you have to remember that IMG is extremely picky. It's guaranteed not as many girls will be contacted by IMG compared to the amount of girls who didn't win and were contacted by Wilhelmina, Elite...etc. in previous cycles.


That's true. But bottom line is that the agency of the cycle always is first on the yea or nay front. Once the agency says no, the girls are free to go elsewhere.

Jane is one of the few girls from this cycle who I could see IMG looking at. The rest, no. Especially if they're not willing to go to NYC (like Kendal).

IMG isn't the only good agency in the world. :shrug IMG definitely have a type though. There's at least 9 others that are good and some smaller agencies that aren't so bad.

:zsnap. There are tons of high fashion model agencies out there aside from IMG. Women, Elite, Next, Supreme, Ford, DNA, Click, and Why Not Agency would be great options for the girls aside from IMG. Just don't get signed with Wilhemina, they're going the commercial route these days.

Um, I don't think that's true at all, mickoomd. I respect that you're an aspiring model who seems to have a knowledgable experience , but whilst Women is very unlikely to pick them up and Why Not, the development board at IMG is very prominent. Women first all of all selects the rising models for more exclusive representation from smaller agencies (in this case, if a model at Supreme gets a row of successful seasons - then Women often picks them up). Why Not is similar.

The fact that IMG decided to partner again with ANTM and the policy that they want first dibs on possibly signing any of models hints that they did in some way factor into the actual casting of the 14 girls of the show behind the scenes. I'm not sure why you mentioned Priscilla's though compared to the other agencies you listed. Priscilla's is a boutique agency, run by a small number of agents and one main one (her), meaning that she has control of who to invest in. Accordingly, she has more of a freedom in signing rawer/fresher people, signing what...9 of the girls from AUSNTM, even with girls the majority of this forum thought had no good photos or walks or attitudes. There's always a profit in potential as long as an agency can afford to invest.

pretty sure Jane could be booked by any Agencies because she's got the money in her face. All they need to do is train, develop, polish and exposure! Plus i think she'll win as Fans Fave Model in fan polls like Laura in Cycle 13.

Jane could be accepted as a commercial model if signed with IMG. Her look is perfect for swimsuit modeling.

One of the things I like about Australia's Next Top Model is the prizes have gotten better and better with each cycle. Priscillas is a boutique agency, yes? Boutique agencies are cool. Australia's Next Top Model was the first Top Model show to offer a cover of and spread in a Vogue edition. It was back in 2007 when ANTM switched from Elle to Seventeen. I know the first winner to receive the cover of and spread in an issue of Vogue Australia was disliked by many fans of the show for her body type and at one point during the season was pulled aside by a guest athlete due to concerns related to her body. She went to Paris after winning the season and booked runway jobs for couturiers. Amazing!

Esther is fat and does not have the face of a Haute Couture model. She looks like typical girl. She needs to lose weight if wanting to pursue modeling. The best she will receive is glamour jobs (partly because of her big boobs which are a no-no in Haute Couture modeling)

It all depends on the GIRL. If you have the face and body it doesn't matter if you sign to a smaller agency clients will come to you. Ask Anna Selezneva (Silent NY, Paris) or Emily DiDonato (Request NY, Marilyn Paris) if they think signing to smaller agencies is a problem.
Elite and Click aren't worth getting signed to in NY, that's my opinion.

Who cares if ANTM had cheesy photoshoots with bad photographers. If the girls have the potential good photographers can make them look incredible. Best Example: Mollie Sue. LOL @ Amanda Ware working for Chanel. Walking in the chanel show is nothing. That cruise collection premired in St. Tropez before fashion week. She didn't walk the show cuz she's amazing, a lot of no name australian models probably walked in it as well. Lets see if she walks in Chanel next fashion week in paris.

I'd add Marilyn NY to that list too, what they've been able to do for Constance, Lindsey, Eniko and Liu in the last year in incredible.
