I don't think this has been posted yet, especially since the forum has been down.

"America's Next Top Model" is going to look drastically different in the fall of 2012. The show is moving to Friday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT and is leaving Jay Manuel, Miss J. and Nigel Barker behind.

Tyra Banks (obviously) returns as the main judge and host, in addition to fashion PR guru Kelly Cutrone, who has been on the Cycle 18 judges' panel. Banks has added international male model Rob Evans (pictured above, right) as the permanent third judge and Johnny Wujek (pictured above, left), stylist to the likes of Katy Perry and Shakira, will be the new creative consultant, who guides the models through their photoshoots.

Cycle 19 has been announced as the college edition, which is inspired by Tyra's recent foray into higher education at Harvard Business School. It will include contestants across all forms of higher education, from four-year colleges to beauty schools.

And finally, the viewers will get to have a hand in voting for who is eliminated. Beginning on May 24, fans will have two opportunities a week to vote online at www.cwtv.com (http://www.cwtv.com) based on the photos taken during production. The scores will be factored in each week when Tyra and the judges eliminate someone. Viewers can also have their comments and video messages featured on the show when it airs in the fall.

EW NO MAKE IT STOP @ VIEWERS VOTING.

WHY TYRA?

The male model (He's the darker skinned dude wearing the grey shirt, right?) is SEXEH AS HAIL. Thats a plus.

Tyra just had to replace Nigel with some new fresh, young meat to hit on every episode..

I cant wait to see how new judges will make change to ANTM especially Johny Wujek, hes amazing in styling stars (:

Regarding Public Voting, I think it wont totally take part in calling order or winner but it might take part to determine the one who get eliminated ? Lets see how the show will do. (:

I do not understand how public vote will work into a show like this unless it's live????

Same. If it was live that would be a bit more understandable (still dumb, but not this idiotic)

Apparently they are going to start showing the photoshoots and backstage photos next week and then we vote each week based off of them, but then that means we are going to know who goes home each week based off of them. That's how I understand it.

YES @ ROB EVANS!!! :p

I guess Tyra noticed that the public always said that she chose the wrong winner, so now Tyra want the public to raise their voice, I guess...

lol the only way I could see the public vote thing working is if all the contestants do every single photoshoot, which sounds quite expensive...

Maybe they'll keep the eliminated girls around and make them do the photoshoots too? That's the only way I could see this working...

But then what would be the point of public voting if they did that? Wouldn't that make the public vote a farce?

The 24th? How kind of the CW to give me a 21st birthday present.

I'mma drop PBRs until my liver dies. loljk pbr can't do that

What do you mean? The girls would be eliminated, they'd just be forced to stay and participate in the photoshoots (they probably wouldn't be aired). That way we wouldn't know who was eliminated each week and the public could still vote live as the season was filmed. That's the only way I could think that wouldn't spoil the whole season months before it airs.

As long as it doesn't begin with "This Season on Top Model" and then show girls photoshoots. Because of that ****, people literally can predict the entire season by the first 5 minutes of the first episode.

There will be decoys up to the overseas, eliminated will be in photos, kinda like cycle 3's jeans pic. They'll just not count votes for the eliminated ones.

Or she's do like ModelVille and not eliminate them until the end.

I read people saying that it's a death sentence time slot BUT it wont be going against The X Factor which is great! Friday night tv sucks anyways.

I don't get the idea of getting a MALE MODEL to judge a FEMALE MODELLING SHOW! .. I like Rob as a model but I don't know how he can judge a female modelling show and maybe this will affect his modelling career, working with Tyra. lol

Anth

Haven't several other models, musicians, and actors worked with Tyra as a guest judge?
I don't see why it'll be bad tbh. He's probably getting paid more?

It really is, most people don't watch tv on Friday nights (unless your a social misfit or stuck at home with nothing to do lmao).

This format doesn't make sense.

She should've just started filming in Fall and have it be a live show or something.

I think Everybody Hates Chris did well in the Friday night slot, so there's still a bit of hope for ANTM.

Is this cycle to find the next star and about branding? I dont see how the industry will take the show seriously with this format ....

Ryan
05-18-2012, 11:20 PM
And Rob Evans is such a weird/random judge choice.

I would've picked a new male photographer or casting agent and a young veteran female model like Coco Rocha or Jessica Stam (ANTM wouldn't really hurt or change their career).

I don't see how the public voting angle is going to work.

If we get 2 opportunities per week to vote on the girls, won't we know what girls go home per episode, or will they make all 13/14 contestants do all the photoshoots, and we vote through out the summer, and come fall we see the outcome of the voting per episode?

I'm very confused, to say the least.

We're all wondering the same. :D

There weren't enough details. Someone should bug Tyra on twitter.

Public vote is a horrible idea. The US public is just going to choose the most likeable girl, not the most talented model.

I think it could still work. Sometimes the most talented model happens to have the nicest personality anyway. If the public had a say in C11 or All-Stars, Allison could have won it easily, for instance. It will be nice to see an American reality TV show with a public vote where a white guy with a guitar can't possibly win! :lol
