Not to be like, mean or anything but I just really couldn't imagine Archuleta making a hit album. He's got an amazing voice for contests and such but not as a recording artist in a time where hip-hop, rock & pop seem to conquer the airwaves.

The same has been said to artist like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Teddy Geiger, Adele, and etc. The same was said for Fantasia, Clay Aiken, and Jordin Sparks. They all became famous because they found a niche in the industry and worked it out. Not to mention, its about the team behind you. David Archuleta has alot more talent than David Cook.
David Cook is extremely generic and is nothing more than a hot wannabe rocker.

I thought his rendition of One Republic - Apologize was very mature and compelling, and I think his talent with ballads could fit in somewhere in that genre.

LOL @ Archuleta love coming out of nowhere, he is indeed a good singer y'all, but haven't ya'll noticed that HE HAS NO PERSONALITY, if he'd won, the company would've totally changed his image/niche, besides IA that I can't see having a long lasting career. Cook is good @ what he does, but he's gonna have a lot of problems with the company since he's the complete opposite of Archuleta, perhaps he'll pull a Kelly IDK. Anyways I'm happy for him, Always Be My Baby-ala-David Cook songs would be major hits TBH.

David Cook definitely deserved to win, but I think it would have been more beneficial for David Archuleta if he won. I have no doubt that Archuleta will get a record deal, but with American Idol's record company, they could have molded him into whatever singer they want basically. Now with David Cook, it would have been better off for him to not win because then he could go off and do whatever he wants with his band, like Chris Daughtry. I don't think Cook's career is completely ruined, but I think most of his success and fans will come from American Idol viewers.

David Archuleta has an amazing voice, but his 2nd performance bored me to death. He has no personality, and he never changes it up.

I'm glad David Cook. Both are great artists, but I feel David Cook deserved the title more. I think that even though DA was a great vocalist, he could only do ballads. "Shop Around" was his only good uptempo performance. Everything else uptempoed he did SUCKED. Plus, I was getting tired of the judges overrating him:( DC was a little more versatile.

I would be fine if DA won, but I'm a bit happier that DC won.

David Cook is amazing, his voice and his respect and passion for music is something I think David Archuleta still needs to develop..further.

His Covers of Always Be My Baby, Billie Jean , The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking are so disgustingly fierce, he better twurk @ Time of My Life too.

TBH, He's one of My Fave Idols, David A will have a great career too, but each week for Cook was just flawless.

hmmm, David Cook is not doubt AMAZING and a really good singer. But honestly, i think David would've been a better winner. IMO, its the same as Jordin last year. I thought that Jordin could only do soulful ballads which really bore me at times ( i like pop lol) and i wasnt expecting to much of her. Well, they molded her into this pop singer thats literally blowing me away. No Air and Tattoo are AMAZING songs. So, the same couldve happened with Archuleta. They couldve molded him into a pop singer. It may not be what there comfortable with but it SELLS with teens. Believe me, im a teen, and i honestly would rather hear DA sing pop than DC sing rock anyday.
