After many fun filled years with America’s Next Top Model, I will not be returning to the program for cycle 19.
Many of you have come to know me over the past eight years on the show, during which we have shared numerous amazing adventures. It has been an exciting chapter in my life and I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to do the international version of Top Model for Canada, New Zealand, Finland, England, Mexico and even Russia. What a ride it has been!
I will miss the cast, the crew and ANTM will always have a special place in my heart, having made life-long friendships with countless fond memories.
This change will allow me to take on new projects and turn my attention to other business prospects in the worlds of fashion, beauty and entertainment. I also have a number of new ventures that have been in the works, and I look forward to sharing them with you very soon – Stay tuned!
Of course, as you might have expected, my efforts on behalf of Haiti, The HSUS, the Make A Wish Foundation, The United Nations Foundation and many more will continue with full force.
This next chapter promises to be even more thrilling with the sky’s the limit. I look forward to taking you with me.

‘America’s Next Top Model’ Tyra Banks Firing Bloodbath
Tyra Banks is completely overhauling ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ as she’s fired original co-stars Jay Manuel, Jay Alexander and judge Nigel Barker. But will this stop the show’s ratings freefall?

What a different chilly season ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ has been as the ‘British Invasion’ hasn’t gelled with fans, nor has the addition of pr Kelly Cutrone done Tyra Banks‘ reality show any favors. Last season’s Angelea Preston shocker brought the slowly sinking CW show back into the mainstream press, but when nothing was ever revealed, fans revolted and many didn’t return. This new season twist has been so boring after we all expected more excitement after last season’s controversy. Banks’ model show is feeling very long in the tooth, and it’s obvious she’s feeling it with the latest extreme turnover.

Our sources over at the House Of Banks said many are scratching their heads and ducking fearing their heads will be the next to get chopped off. “Many of us were shocked when word got out that both Jays and Nigel were getting axed. That’s unheard of, but since the Angelea Preston incident, things just haven’t been the same on this show. Don’t be surprised to hear that the show doesn’t get renewed for Cycle 20.’ The show is supposed to have some major changes in store for next season which is already casting the next round of model wannabes, and sadly Cutrone will be sticking around. Another source on the show responded to me asking why she was saved the ax. “In my opinion, Kelly has done nothing to help the show besides alienating more viewers, but she’s gotten Tyra thinking that the show needs to go with a bigger social media angle so expect to see fashion bloggers and other insiders more. She killed her talk show trying to make too many changes, and sadly she’s hellbent on doing it to this show too.”

A pr statement went out saying “Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the ‘Top Model’ family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”

I honestly don't see these changes as positive though. More like "desperate". It's one thing to take Nigel off (long overdue) but taking the Jays off and keeping Kelly will only PO the remaining fans more.

They're basically just cutting out all the good reasons why people watch the show which what gets them ratings. Why where these guys fired? I'm not watching next cycle.

According to one of the sources; the producers kept Kelly because she's "convincing Tyra to go for a social media slant (wha?) and getting fashion bloggers and independent designers" for the show.

aka: Kelly is dismantling the show and Tyra doesn't know any better. :P
