10/22 Discussion Thread - "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" - Page 25

I disliked Sam and Sheena this week too.. they were being absolutely stupid, especially with the holiday thing. I mean, what do they expect Elina to do? Refuse the prize that she deservedly won, just because it was for a Christmas magazine issue? Are you not expected to portray a wide range of things as a model.. to become a character, or be in a situation you may or not have experienced? Grr!

And I'm sorry but Samantha is ignorant, narrow-minded and delusional.. the thing about ''don't you have 11 years to adapt to american-style'' was foolish and offensive. Ok, maybe it's not her fault that she's so ignorant, I know she doesn't mean to hurt anyone, but she still refuses to listen and take in anything the girls say... she instantly rejects opinions different to her own i.e. she's basically saying that marjorie acting negatively is wrong, because ''you're in america now''! grrr! I can't wait to see how she will behave in Europe... would she be willing and able to change her natural instincts and completely adapt herself because she's in another country? I highly doubt it.
Oh, and I completely agree with what you said, Guru. It's just what I was thinking.

The walk with the clogs annoyed me also.. Sam walked like a damn fool, she didn't even try. Her arms were all over the place. A serious challenge or not, if that was any one of the other girls they would have been teared apart, but because it's 'funny' Sam, everyone just laughs.

All-in-all they didn't like her commercial, and her walk was attrocious, but still, she get's called third because she's likeabe? I dunno, it really looks like she's the winner, because her edit is so good. They edit out a lot of bad things she says about the other girls also (which is all she really does) especially judging from the bonus clips. She obiously wins.. why else would they cut out her bitching?

Anyway, I don't mean to be mean about Sam, I still like her look and face, but I just noticed a lot of things that I had to let out. I'm like, 95% sure she wins... 4% Analeigh... 1% Marjorie... maybe.

Analeigh's commercial was perfect and Sheena's was great too. I felt so bad for Joslyn, but her commercial was totally overacted. BTW I think Sam and Sheena were insensitive to Elina, but Elina just reacted too strongly in her annoying passive-agressive-cold-overreative manner.

ugh... all i can say is that tyra tries to make this cycle so gripping that she made the elimination so unpredictable. sometimes its good, because its full of surprises, but i think its too much now... some girls really deserves another chance and she eliminated those girls just for entertainment.

to be honest i start to realize that tyty is so so mean because she seems to give hopes for girls but the reality is she just playing with them use them just for her show and crush their dream with her ego... oh no

^ Uhmm I think the reality that they made it to the show is already a big opportunity for them. Even though this girls get hurt, it's a competition and in the end, it's up to them if they will pursue modelling or not. I dunno.

Terrible challenge, it was ridiculous and they mostly did badly.

I think Analeigh was the best in the commercial, seriously, it was one of the bet ever. I thought McKey's was really good too. I think she's EXTREMELY underrated by the judges.

Definitely the second-weakest reveals of a trip. No suspense AT ALL, the clog thing was so dumb.

I think Cycle 5's reveal was the BEST EVER

I loved last cycle's revealing the I.D episode. It was full of climax with the whole Fatima loosing her passport and judging in a jet house. This cycle's one was..blah.

The girls weren't even that excited. A couple of hugs and kisses but they didn't go crazy as the girls from other cycles when the destination was revealed.

It was a very blah announcement.

I just saw the end of the episode and when Tyra was all, "...and Joslyn, you'll be able to survive this," everybody's reaction was hilarious. I loved how the color of Elina's hand didn't match the color of her face and how she was like backing away from her photo. I loved Sheena's stunned-bored-bj expression too. It was so cute when Samantha held her face with her hand and Marjorie was trembling and looking nervous. I felt really bad for Joslyn though.

Looking back at the commercials, I actually now like Sheena's better than everyone else.

Also Mckey's seems to be better than I remember and Marjorie's is a big Hell no.

There was also a moment in panel where it looked like Elina was going to explode.....I sorta wish she had.

This episode was a very interesting one. It felt a little weird for me... The cover girl commercial, was a little annoying for me. I usually like the commercial's, but I felt these ones were a little boring. No ones commercial truly wowed me. Everyone seemed a little bland. Some were better than others though, for example I liked Sam's better than Analeigh's. Sam was herself and stuff, and looked a little bit like a little girl talking to her friends. Analeigh's was so quiet for me.. ( I know get my ears checked lol ) and didn't really get my attention, but Sam's personality related to my age group and how people act around me..

To be honest I found the whole argument between Sam/Sheena/Elina/Marjorie to be ridiculous. I just think since it's getting late in the competition everyone was really highly-strung and worn out and it takes just the smallest thing to start an argument. Saying that I'm a bit peeved at Elina and Marjorie for generalizing a European way of life, not everybody is like that and they shouldn't use it as an excuse either. But at the same time Sheena and Sam were being quite rude and, in my opinion, seemed to be baiting E & M for a reaction, ESPECIALLY Sheena.

The commercial was really cheap. Walking from a sofa to some stairs.........thrilling! Analeigh and Sheena rocked it out, they're both perfect for CoverGirl in my opinion. Mckeys was dreadful, and I think I'm the only who hated Sam's, I actually thought it was fake and her voice was like a drill to the skull for me. I actually liked Joslyn's take, I didn't think it was that over the top. Last cycle Whitney was chastized far more than Joslyn was for it but yet she didn't get eliminated.....but whatever, I'm not fussed she's gone.

I think Sheena (was it Sam aswell?) calling out for Joslyn to be called was a bit harsh, I know her and Elina didn't have a good week but she was acting completely childish in my opinion.

Can I say something? I feel like this has been a drama-less cycle and people are really grasping at straws. The argument hasn't fazed my opinions on any girl and I don't feel strongly one way or another.

I thought the fight was very dumb as well. It was inappropriate, but if I was in that house, I would be fighting all the time to because they have NOTHING to do all time. The girls must be so bored on that show

For real. A lot of the girls' arguments are just dumb, which is why I don't let it affect my opinions that much. I love Elina, but I don't agree with everything she stands for. For example, I eat meat every day and I don't really care, either. Love her as a model, but as a person, I think she might annoy me!

I dance crazy like a go-go dancer all the time, but I'm not too fond of Sheena either.
