i will recap the episode while watching on the net, as i am not in neither Greece nor my homeland Cyprus, right now. i assume it will take a few more hours to be uploaded, so in the morning (GMT time) i will watch it.
from what i read, it was a 2-hour episode that concluded with the selection of the 17 girls by vicky and the 3 judges.

The first episode just aired guys! It was about the auditions mostly and showed the girls walking, posing, doing a photoshoot and stuff...
The photoshoot wasnt that good imo but it was probz done to see which girls can pull off a good pic while in weird circumstances. Some of them had to hold an inflatable shark (huh?), some had to hold grapes, a toy gun, and a flag. And it was shot in a pool!
I wont count it as the first photoshoot coz first of all it sucked! LOL
Then again in Antm they also dont count the girls' first pic in auditions, into their portfolios so
Prepare for a remake of Antm cycle1's snake beauty shot next week!!!!!
It looked aaaawesome in the preview!!!

PS. Many girls suck which makes about 4 of them really stand out! I guess thats good coz we will deff have a good winner lol

Guys, i'm sorry but it's still not up anywhere but the ANT1 site which is viewable only in Greece. So I haven't seen the episode yet... i hope it will be uploaded soon so i can see it and recap it for you!
btw, if the photoshoot is like projectzero described it, then it is already in the model's portfolios!

a girl will leave...i thought they would get rid of couple more coz 17 is too much!

ant1 site is just for viewers in Greece but i found it on youtube (alekos43 channel) and here it goes...

The show starts with the 200 girls dancing on the beach, wearing swimsuits and vicky approaching on a boat. she welcomes the viewers and then it's the INTRO. i found the intro quite good, it includes the 17 girls in gowns, ready to go on the runway like athletes are ready to run and when the signal is given, the start running anf the "next top model" is shown!
Then we see a small bio of vicky who among others walked for Valentino and Chanel while lived for over 10 years between Paris and New York.
Next scene: Vicky is on the beach with the girls. she congratulates them for making it thus far and introduces the judges. the come out one by one Jenny Balatsinou (J.B.), Christoforos Kotentos (Ch.K.) and Charis Christopoulos (Ch.Ch.) who enter from a wall especially set for the show. then, vicky introduces the girls to their coach, aka the "jay manuel" of the show. He is Tasos Sofroniou, he has worked for the American Vogue and major designers such as Julian McDonald and Alexander McQueen and he enters. Oh, he seems to agree with me on the aka segment as he wears a "MR T" shirt and says he is the Greek version of "Mr J" LOL
Then the judges mix up with the girls and the girls have a first chance to impress them. The judges give the girls some advice about weight, simple clothing, not wearing too much make up or even not wearing colour eye contacts! J.B. thinks that the girls should exercise to be more fit while Ch.K. can't wait to see the girls on the runway.
They see the girls on groups of three. it's like a peer and they walk on it and at the end there are the judges who give some comments, either relevant or not to the runway. there are so many girls and so many different opinions heard! i have to say that the panel is a bit harsh and i'm impressed with vicky who, during her other projects (such as "so you think you can dance") always came off the sweetest thing but now she gives many comments and she is not joking. also, j.b. is like a janice when she speaks about weight. she is like "what have you done to your body?" or "why did you even bother coming?". the stand outs of the day are nina, ioanna and seraina. zoe gets criticism about her weight and dionisia, although everyone admires her dancing moves, is told not to wear too much make up and lose some weight. demetra is told to thicker her eybrows!
the judges deliberate (something we don't see) and vicky announces the 35 girls moving on to the next day were they will have to show their personality to the judges.

the next day, the girls -dressed casual- meet with mr t who tells them that it's their time to show their personalities and shine.
first to go is monica who when asked if she's there anyone that among the girls that doesn't have "it" she just bashes a "short one with short blond hair"! then she tries to look tough but she just blows it all up saying that even if she was scared of something she would never admit that! of course, the judges interpret that actually as her being afraid of something and she gets teary and admits that she is really worried about acme because it's a problem she faces. vicky admits that she had the same problem for over 10 years and gives her a big hug! (note: this is sooo the 1st vicky's tyra-ism).
next to have a meeting with the judges is cristina. they tell her that her walk is not really that great. she says she used to be a barwoman and she entered to follow her dream AND make some "mean" girls envy! now, ch.k. asks her to imagine she is in a jungle photoshoot and she models as an animal and she actually gives some quite fierce poses.
marcida is on and she looks STUNNING with curly hair, imo. BUT she wears too much make up and plus the judges don't really like her walk as she has no control of her hands. vicky imitates her walk and asks her to loose herself and then makes her scream! my God, vicky is really being tyra-ised!!!
now we see aretie. j.b. supports that aretie is irrelevant with fashion and ch.k. tells her that what she wears is "cheap glamor" and he haaaates her jacket. they comment her hair, her nails... later at confession she is disappointed and she accuses them of being irrelevant with fashion LOL ch.ch. really likes her teeth though...! anyway, leaving she has lost every hope of continuing!
ramona thinks she has a bit more weight than she should. j.b. loves her eyebrows and ramona says she does them herself. they ask her to pose on a couch and they like her poses.
vaso is criticized on her jacket. when she comes off with a swimsuit, she teaches ch.ch. tango and j.b. and vicky looove her movement.
seraina gets again a lot of praise and j.b. comments that she has THE best sense of style among all the girls. the only negative comment is heard from j.b. who asks her to just be more confident and strong.
dionisia presents herself wearing too much make-up for the second day in a row!! her dress is also badly criticized and ch.k. is furious; he asks her to leave, change into her swimsuit and take ALL the make-up off her face. j.b. thinks she has a beautiful face but she basically "kills it" by having the make up. she comes back and they ask her to act like she is in a goth photoshoot but she doesn't quite convince them. ch.k. is really furious!
victoria, a 25 year old wedding planner, who got praise during the runway day, is now on. ch.ch. is still not very fond of her and asks her to do some very difficult posing. she doesn't know why she is doing all this but he interprets it as her being bored! anyway, what he wanted was to see her neck. he also expresses worries about her age. vicky and ch.k. love her face and her body. vicky really seems to like her.
demetra is the girl who basically participated in all beauty contests in Greece and names her awards! they tell her to take off her extensions but j.b. compliments her eyelashes. she then gives martial art classes to ch.k. and everyone's impressed. in confession, she says that she just wants to model. she leaves the interview with her extensions in hand, laughing.
nayla dances with ch.ch. and alone. she has some great moves, in my opinion. the judges seem to agree.
mia, an 18 year old, states that she sees no other girl as "competition". she says the others name her "selfish" and "anti-social" as she "is bored when talking to strangers" something that doesn't sound really well in vicky's ears. ch.ch. pretends to be her bf who asks her to break up. they tell her to act mad and angry and after a minute they finally get it out of her.
anthie is the next one to meet the judges. they say she has an exotic beauty and charm but not when she smiles! they ask her about a tatoo (a really small one on her hand) she bursts into tears as it's the name of her dad and the date of his death.
vanessa says she admires gizelle and when asked about the greek models, she names vicky. she imitates some of her poses and vicky gets all excited. when she does one of her poses, ch.k. tells her she could be one of his muses!! when she leaves the judges comment how they felt she was a natural!
maria, aged 23, is from russia. she says she wants to win just to be happy for herself because she has gone through many stuff. when asked what she's being through she says her mother has died and she lives with her aunt. j.b. tells her she is beautiful even when she cries.
the day has ended and after a judges' deliberation, vicky, instead of announcing the 20 remaining girls, tells them that there are 20 hangers. if they find their name written on one of the hangers, then they continue. vicky is an ANTM addict, for suuuure! the girls are not that ANTM trained though and when asked to run, they go as if they are about to go to execution! and now we see the first frustration by the girls who didn't make it.

for the night, the girls will remain in the hotel's suits and they get all excited and start exploring them. they just love the suits and enjoy the luxuries provided.
now we see the third day of the bootcamp, where the 20 models will have a photoshoot with ch.ch. to see who have what it takes to continue on the journey. and the first "vicky mail" has just arrived, preparing the girls for the photoshoot, though it doesn't write "vicky mail" on the folder! she wasn't a good ANTM student, after all!
ch.ch. and mr t greet the girls. ch.ch. tells them that they will give each one of them, one out of 5 props they have prepared. they will have to put their imagination to make the shoot work. this will show who have the talent and/or who studied the industry. we have, a dolphin toy, grapes, a water-gun, a Greek flag (for which everyone gets really excited; why??) and an octopus. he sends them to hair and make-up and we are told that ch.ch. will give nooo direction at all.
ramona got an octopus, which is what she wished for. she asks if she is allowed to sit on the sand or touch the octopus on her, as she is afraid not to make the swimsuit dirty. ch.ch. tells her she can take the swimsuit off if she likes and she just laughs back nervously. at the end, he tells her "well done".
nina got a water-gun! she gets in the pool, which she felt cold but got used to it. dionisia also gets a water-gun. monica gets grapes she thinks she could do better but did well, aretie gets a dolphin and has no idea what to do with it. ch.ch. to do anything she wants but put her personality in it. seraina gets a water-gun and she points ch.ch. who jokes that she shot him. she says she liked the shoot because ch.ch. was fun to work with.
zoe gets the flag but has a difficulty to make it work and ch.ch. is frustrated with the delay. then, she gets it and the shoot goes well. cristina also gets a water-gun and she says ch.ch. was a really good photographer, she felt him as a friend. ioanna got the grapes, though she preferred the flag. she says she did the best she could. anthie gets the dolphin and is not really happy about it.
demetra gets an octopus and is excited about it. she does everything she can, she even kisses it! athina gets the flag, victoria an octopus, nayla gets grapes and she also comments how nice he had been with her. the next girl, i think it's vanessa but i'm not sure, works with the dolphin and vaso with the grapes. maria gets the flag and she is a bit stressed because the flag is something very meaningful and valuable to the Greeks (and as we know she is Russian). she doesn't feel she did very well. katia also gets the flag and she is also stressed because it's fabric, it's rather big, you have to treat it with respect and is difficult to work with! she says she did the best she could.

the judges deliberate and ch.ch. gives a description of how the photoshoot went while looking at their best photos. he says anthie was really nervous, it was her first time doing it and she didn't give a lot of range. i get the same feeling from the photo. j.b. likes the face.
they like aretie's pose but not her face; ch.ch. says she was a disappointment. they actually like athina's pose and the geometrical structure of her hands. cristina was a surprise, they get a "lara croft" vibe from the photo.
about monica, ch.ch. says she has a problem with her mouth and she was generally nervous. about danae, j.b. says it was just a normal photoshoot, nothing special. ch.ch. thinks she is gifted, she is always beautiful. vicky is angry demetra didn't take the fake nails off and they don't like the pose. everyone loves ioanna's photo (everyone but me i guess); vicky even names it "perfect".
j.b. loves katia's body in the photo; she thinks katia is a swimsuit model. vicky doesn't like the face. they think maria was really nervous but they are impressed with marcida as she comes off romantically relaxed. they say they would rather if nayla kept an orchid instead of grapes. HELLOOOOO, you are the ones that gave them to her! anyway, next we have nina. they like her jaw, because even though it's a little big, it's "modern" in j.b.'s words. i would like to know what she means by "modern" but anyway. ch.k. thinks she has some strange features but she can hide them.
j.b. is all about dionisia's face and says she is ready to battle for her. she says she reminds her of claudia schiffer! they like the photogenic faces of ramona and seraina who seems to be the star of the bootcamp. they like vanessa's face but her face is confused.
they think that vaso is too exotic for her name but they are not that into her photo. about victoria, they just hate the photo. did ch.ch. sabotage her on purpose?? hmmm... they don't like zoe's pose at all and her behavior on set. they start arguing and ch.ch. again brings the age factor on the conversation.

end of deliberation. the girls get on a limo-bus and are driven to the top model house where vicky waits for them to announce the results. they drink champagne and sing on the ride home. ramona is anxious. the house is huuuuuuge and amaaazing. nayla loves it but wants to know if she made it.
vicky is near the pool. she summarizes what happened during the bootcamp and says that only 17 can move forward. she gives the photos (and then hugs and kisses) to: ioanna, seraina, danae (though se criticizes her for being selfish), zoe (but tells her to get to work because the judges weren't impressed), vaso (advises her to have some diet and work on her poses), athina, marcida (she asks her to chill out, let loose), nayla, ramona, aretie (she suprised them with her flerty poses), katia (she is told to fight her insecutities as she was really doubting herself during the bootcamp), nina (she hugs marcida, are they already friends?), dionisia (she asked to change her style but she also says that ch.ch. said she had the best poses), cristina (she is told to lose some weight), demetra (she is told to take a better care of her skin and take a good night sleep as she looks tired) and monica (she is told to calm down).
the first girl not getting a photo was vanessa, who was called after marcida and before nayla. the second is maria, just before cristina.
now we are down to two: anthie and victoria. she tells victoria not to stop trying and gives the photo to anthie.
vicky now congratulates the final 17. she tells them that 3 major agencies will be watching them and will book the winner giving her an opportunity for an international career so they are going to have a tough time. she throws the keys like a bride throws the bouquet and the episode ends...

NEXT TIME ON NTM: the girls get to exercise around the pool, have runway classes with vicky and giving poses with the face. katia is upset during the class. the photoshoot is as projectzero said, exactly like ANTM cycle 1's snake photoshoot. the view from the panel soo reminds me of antm's cycle 10 panel.

This is the first part to the first episode and it already looks promising. I love the little HNTM-esque (I think) dancing on a beach and the opening is nice! It's taken from the BNTM4 promo (an extended version actually, you can clearly see Ali in the beginning of it). However, they did do editing here and there. The "SPRING 2008" in the BNTM promo was shortened down to "SPRING" and they even included a spot of Vicky shooting the gun. Regardless, my favorite part of the opening is the theme song (which was played in the promos). It's so catchy.

ETA: Nayla has to be one of the most beautiful models to ever be on a NTM... Her swimsuit photo was gorgeous and she's so effervescent in person.

just to let u know that this show in greece is the worst,
i do think that the girls r amazing, but the judges r sick,
they were like "girl y u comin in this show?? u r sooo fat" (dont they know that antm has plus size models???)
