The BBC picked up the rights for a British version that could apparently compete with The X-Factor. Adele's already being considered as a judge:

Can I just say that I was really impressed with the first episode. It was so well executed and the coaches are really funny! I'm on Team Jessie at the minute but I really liked J Marie Cooper as well. Can't wait for the rest of the show!

I thought it was pretty meh tbh. The UK judges just don't have as much chemistry as the US judges do imo. Will.i.am is just obnoxious, Danny is a poor man's version of Adam Levine, Jessie & Tom were alright tho.

Let's not forget the U.S. version has been running for over a year now. We only just saw the first episode of the first series for the UK version, so of course they don't have that ~bond~ between them yet.

I thought the show was good, but I wish they'd have cut down on the mentors' "pleading" and shown one or two more acts. I got kinda bored and just ended up skipping the mentors' comments to the part where the artist actually chose whose team they wanted to join.
