They seem kind of white trash/rednecks but I think I am going to like them.

They seemed like nice enough folks, but I don't see it happening.....nah.

I LOVE this team! They aren't my bet to win, but I sure hope they stay in the race long enough because they are so funny. There have been many great moments with them, and it's not even halfway. The one that comes to mind was when David was reflecting about Vietnam and Mary just straight up interrupted him !!!

I also admire Mary's open eyes and kind soul. I really thought that culture shock would affect them the most (in a negative way), but she is enjoying this race AND supporting her friends (TnT, Cho Bros, Southern Moms). Go "Backpack"! But I hope that her ankle gets better...

^^^ I agree. But in a perfect world, they would get to the mat around 3rd or 4th, get the penalty, and STILL beat out Peter and Sarah !!!

Sara and Peter SUCK at challenges and stumple around the whole leg yet still manage to be top 3.

Actually, The last two episodes I have been seeing the Peter hate. But overall Sara is a badass and I admire her detirmination. If they win, I would be so happy for her!

See, I don't even like Sarah because she was dumb enough to pick Peter in the first place...

'Race' couple Dave and Mary Conley given new car, home, and more

    By Steve Rogers, 11/08/2006

Dave and Mary Conley finished sixth on The Amazing Race 10, but after appearing on The View on Tuesday, they ended up receiving a prize package that's likely larger than what the reality show's eventual runner-up team will receive.

Calling Dave and Mary "so unbelievably kind and giving," The View showered the Kentucky couple with gifts during their Tuesday morning appearance on the syndicated ABC daytime show. After starting by announcing that they would be receiving a $1,000 Carhartt gift certificate that David (a coal miner) could use to buy workwear, The View co-host Rosie O'Donnell proceeded to announce that the couple would also be receiving an Apple PowerBook laptop computer; a Canon Rebel digital camera; three vacations to San Diego, Disneyland, and the Grand Canyon; a brand-new 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition SUV; and -- in an Extreme Makeover: Home Edition-like twist -- a brand-new home.

"You said you hope your kids don't grow up to be like you -- I hope your kids do grow up to be like you Mary, because you're one amazing woman and you [David] are one amazing guy," O'Donnell told David and Mary, who were eliminated from The Amazing Race 10 at the conclusion of Sunday night's broadcast.

According to O'Donnell's original on-air announcement, the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath cape-style house, donated by Champion Enterprises, a nationwide builder of modular homes, was to be erected on the same lot on which the Stone, Kentucky residents' current trailer home is located and be waiting for them upon their return home. "We know that you live in a trailer there in Kentucky... [but] when you get home you will have that brand-new three bedroom house on your lot," O'Donnell announced on The View's Tuesday broadcast.

However according to a Champion press release issued on Wednesday, the house -- still unbuilt -- will be "shipped to a yet to be decided location" in the couple's hometown.

As for the fate of the Conley's current home, The View asked Dave and Mary to "pay it forward." "What we want you to do is to give the house that you're in to someone you know who needs it, because that's your nature, that's who you are, and we want to thank you so much for bring us so much joy," O'Donnell, who also invited the couple to participate in her R Family Vacation company's next gay and lesbian family friendly cruise, explained to Dave and Mary.

Unlike its Surivor ($100,000) and Big Brother ($50,000) reality shows, CBS doesn't openly disclose the value of the cash prize that The Amazing Race's runner-up teams receive. When contacted by Reality TV World on Wednesday, a Champion spokeswoman stated that she could not provide an approximate retail value for the home. According to Ford's website, a 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition SUV has a base manufacturer's suggested retail price of $28,995.
