Meh. Now that the boys have no idol, and the girls have a 6-3 lead, it's pretty much game over.
My prediction:
9th - Troyzan
8th - Lief
7th - Tarzan
6th - Christina
5th - Alicia
4th - Kat
However I wouldn't mind at all seeing Sabrina, Kat, and Chelsea in the F3.
I'm so disappointed that it's turning into a pagonging. At least it's one where people fight back, though.
Weird editing @ Jay being the voice of reason and Troy being the dupe... and then it switching by the end of the episode. I am going to miss Jay, though--I would have loved to see Kim keep that NuSalani alliance to the end. I'm worried that her edit took a turn for the worst tonight.
That being said, Troy's idol--his biggest weapon--is gone. I'd love to see him fight it out a bit just to keep things interesting, and I could see him running immunity for a few episodes at the expense of Leif/Tarzan/Christina, but beyond that... he's toast soon, unfortunately. Oh, what could have been.
Chelsea got big screentime tonight, again highlighting the fact that she is very emotional when compared to her alliance. I really do think we are likely to see Kim, Chelsea and either Kat, Alicia or Tarzan in the finals. Kat, Alicia, or Tarzan would all be playing a goat role (Kat is kind of dumb and got dragged along as such; Alicia is abrasive and we've seen that the others see her as two faced; and Tarzan... duh. Even though there would be some mad turning to keep him.) Christina has never really been anything beyond a number, and Sabrina, while super likeable... is super likeable. I don't think she'll make the end because she's probably going to be too dangerous in the finale. I can see her making the finale, but getting axed before final tribal.
I think we've gotten a lot of difference between Kim and Chelsea and I feel so confident it's coming down to endgame to explain why it is that one wins over the other. I think on the surface, Chelsea came off as looking kind of better than Kim this episode, but if you look a little deeper, I think the edits are more complex. Chelsea got a lot of negative second person visibility from her alliance, who all--even dear Kitten, of all people--questioned how her emotional personality constantly interfered with her ability to make smart choices so far as the game is concerned. Kim, meanwhile, while portrayed as cockier/doubtful winner this week (though I think this happens to all masterminds at some point, including ones who won like Rob, Todd, etc), also continued to show us her strategic, rational thought. Her stepping down from the challenge, if left uncommented on, could be seen as massively cocky--but we got to see her explain her rational, saying she does not want to put a target on herself by winning. So through that, we were still given every opportunity to see the game from her perspective and why she makes the choices she does.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking because I do like her a lot, but this is still my guess for how the season is turning out and I'm sticking to it.
Oh...
judging by these comments I can see that I'm in the minority when it comes to Jay leavingI was really hoping he would make it at least a little bit farther. Dumb or not dumb he was one of my favorites.
Spoiler:
First of all, I LOVE the editting this episode, and I LOVE this season of survivor. It was very interesting to see that this very "mactory" looking bunch all have unique personalities, and we really got to see more into characters like Kat.
Kat honestly stood out to me this episode for some reason. I feel like I really got to see a little more into her game, and that vote out moment was SUCH a throw back to some of survivor's earlier sweet hearts like Elisabeth.
I know its going somewhat predictable, but at least the editors are creating an interesting story and making us (or just me) have some doubt in whats happening.
Sad that Jay had to go. He was great eye candy and an interesting person to watch play the game. I'm not sure why he suddenly stopped being suspicious of the girls, but I think its really just a testament to how well Kim is running this game. Dare I say it, she's kind of Boston Rob'ing it.
Very interested to see what Troyzan's gonna do, but I can't imagine the girls breaking down UNTIL he's gone. When its Leif and Tarzan... who knows.
I can blink.
So glad Jay went for the simple reason of his stupidity. I liked him but he was playing a very stupid game (from our point of view, probably a logical one from his point of view at the time)
Jay deserved to go, but I'm actually beginning to think Kim is becoming a bit smug
She knows she has all the power, and its showing to be honest
I didn't think Jay played that dumb, however, it was ironic for him to reveal to Kim what Troy's plans were (I think to try and reassure/reinforce that Alicia was the target) and then be the victim.
Overall, I would have preferred to see Alicia go this episode, and have NuSalani last at least two more episodes before Jay/Troy was targeted. However, it is great to see so many women take an offensive and conjoined strategical role (rather than be submissive followers) so what has happened is also pretty cool.
I'm interested to see if Troy can last as the promo is implying, as it would spice things up.
Finally, I hope Sabrina somehow makes it into the F3, but I think she may get blindsided.![]()
I'm sad to see Jay go 'cause I liked him but he was just being stupid, if not in denial. Troyzan was smart enough to spot the nuances in the immunity challenge. Heck, Jeff was even making a running commentary on it.
Unfortunately, Troyzan's immunity idol is gone... I hope this doesn't continue being so one-sided and the rest of the season remains interesting.
THIS EPISODE WAS SO AAAAAAAAAAAMAZING!!!! I WAS SOOOO NERVOUS AT THE TRIBAL COUNCIL! KIM IS INCREDIBLEEEE! LOVE LOVE LOVE HERALICIA WAS SO FUNNY, LOVE HER TOO
I thought Kim was playing her idol the whole time.. I hope she wins it!
WOMEN'S ALLIANCEexcept for Chelsea, she was so annoying with the whole "I like the guys" thing.
lol @ Alicia at the Tribal Council talking about Troyzan's shorts.
Jay was soooo dumb. and he still voted for Alicia.![]()

I am loving the direction this season is heading. So refreshing to watch girls taking control of the game, especially after Redemption Island and South Pacific's embarrassment.
Tbh, I really do wish that it didn't always have to be "yay women's alliance" for women to succeed in dominant roles in Survivor... mostly because I hate that whole "girls rule boys drool" dogma that just reeks of gendered society and playground mentalities. I feel like I'm alone in having wanted NuSalani to stick together, if only because I feel like a dominant alliance of three of my favorite players this season and Chelsea would have been fantastic to see as the final four. I mean, keeping all the strong people together is seldom a good idea, but it was a nice pipe dream while it lasted
And I mean, I don't want to sound like a hypocrite, because I like Kim a lot and would love to see her win (partially because female winners are never really masterminds, and it would bring something different)... but honestly, OW has become very similar to the last two seasons, with volatile tribal games followed by a pagonging under the fist of a dominant leader. Of course, in the last two seasons, the dominant leaders were not only male players, but returnees... and everyone hated how they turned out.
I think that there are differences, obviously... Kim's game is more impressive to me given that it is her first time, where as Coach and Rob had ample opportunity to learn from their mistakes. And I mean, since Coach lost, there was obviously a lack of finesse to how he used his control... I know for me personally, part of what made the last two seasons lame was the returnees, and I'd like to think that had it been new players in their roles, they'd have been more exciting to me. I also like that OW has been good about creating believable doubt.
IDK what I'm even trying to say really, but I'll say it... it bugs me that people seem to like this season because the women are in charge. And I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case because I think Kim is better than that, and I would have loved to see a successful mixed sex alliance in which women have an equal and powerful role... and that some of the fans could get past their reactionary patriarchy backlash mindsets and actually like guys on this show.

I start to think if Colton still here, the girls would not have that much advantage to control the game and Tarzan and Leif would have someone tell them what to do. I'm not a fan of him but that what I have to admit.
If I had to choose between Colton and a pagonging...I think I would choose the pagonging. I do agree he would have given a good fight.
So my final 3 is all over the place. I totally want Chelsea and Kat in there, but for the third one I would be ok with Sabrina/Kim/Troy and looking at how people may vote I think my third choice would be the one to win in that F3.
